Elisabeth Kaplan was born in South Africa and is currently based in Vienna, Austria. She is the lead singer and songwriter for the electronic pop outfit Trip Fontaine and is a songwriter both for herself and for other artists. As a singer, she has performed on large stages across Europe as well as in the UK and US. She is a film composer with Kaplan & Hirschmann, most notably for the Oscar-nominated short film “Watu Wote - All of Us” (including the song “Watu Wote” performed by Vusa Mkhaya). On top of that, she is an educator and has created her own songwriting method, The Canapé Principle.
